Area Information:
Los Barriles is centrally located between the international airports of San Jose Del Cabo (SJD) and La Paz (LAP).  A scenic 45 minute to 1 hour drive from either location will have you viewing tropical terrain from sandy or rushing arroyos (depending on the time of year) to lush greenery to mountainous roads that drop you down into to turquoise blue Sea of Cortez.  We can arrange all transportation for your stay or you can rent a car if you feel like exploring.  Highway 1 connects all of Baja and you cannot get lost if you try....unless you want to....  There are no concerns for driving in Mexico aside from the occasional cow or goat that ventures outside their pastures for a look at passing tourists.  The roads have recently been upgraded and are safe for all driving conditions.

The town of Los Barriles is a charming fishing village that is also home to many locals artists and artisans.  You feel a mix of old world Spanish charm and style influenced by the rustic surroundings of Baja Mexico.  As the old streelights of the main entrance burn in the evening, you have the intimate excitement of entering a land that time may have forgotten but has also grabbed onto the modern needs of today.  We sport internet cafes, coffee bars, international and local cuisine and many acitivites.  Your quest for evening entertainment will guide you to a karaoke club, sports bars and of course, star gazing.  If your family wishes, we also offer sunset harbor cruises that include delicious cuisine, beverages and cocktails and entertainment upon request.  There truly is something for everyone when booking with Rampage!

Our weather forecast is always sunny and pleasant with temperatures in the 70 - 80s during the winter and 90s in the summer.  There is usually a tropical breeze that circulates through the area creating a lovely climate for all to enjoy.  Some summer months bring humidity, so be sure to check weather sites for updates.  And remember, the sunrises in the east - so be sure to bring plenty of film for spectacular sunrise photo ops - both from the water and the shore.

Daytime activites abound outside of your fishing expeditions.  Rampage offers a full menu of watersport activites (see Charters/Activities) such as new Kawasaki wave runners/jet skis, banana raft boat rides, water skiing, wakeboarding, snorkel tours, scuba tours (the Cabo Pulmo Marine Park is one of the renowned dive spots in the Pacific) and eco tours for whale watching seasons.  We can arrange other services as well such as horsebacking riding tours, ATV rentals for in or out of town, waterfall/lagoon day trips and shopping trips to Cabo San Lucas or La Paz.  You are welcome to extend the day trips to Cabo San Lucas and La Paz into the evening for sunset dinners in the tranquil harbor of La Paz or the lively cosmopolitan setting of Cabo.

Overnight Charter Lodging Packages:
We are pleased to offer the "Ultimate Fishing Sleep-Aboard Adventure" package for those fishermen who simply can't get enough.  Imagine coming into town and "checking in" to the Joan Boat for the weekend.  All meals and crew are included for the length of your stay.  Want to explore shoreline fishing?  Just hope aboard our Boston Whaler to do a little shoreline fishing.  Don't feel like piloting yourself? Have our crew shuttle you back and forth on our Avon shuttle/pangas to the local docks and piers.  It's your choice.  All Sleep Aboard Packages include meals, transportation, crew and fishing charters.  We can customize your trip depending on your desires.    Standard cuisine on the Joan Boat starts with French Toast with fresh berries and creme fraiche or Huevos Mexicanos.  Lunch could be Chinese Chicken stir fry on rice or filet mignon in Bearnaise Sauce.  Dinner culminates in Duck a L'Orange or Linguine con Pescatore - all courtesy of our culinary crew.  Want local fare?  We can have that catered out to you as well.  It's your adventure...it's your choice!

Sunset Villas
Located in the Heart of Los Barriles only 1 block from the Sea of Cortez on a direct access road. The complex consists of 4 one-bedroom units upstairs, each with a queen sofa bed. Los Barriles Hotel
Los Barriles Hotel has 20 beautifully appointed rooms for rent, each with two Queen size beds, large bathroom, ample storage, telephone, remote controlled air conditioning system and pool views. Internet service is available. We keep our rooms, the hotel and the grounds to European standards. All our rooms have view of the pool. There is a beautiful Palapa Bar with Satellite TV, a relaxing waterfall and just added a large cedar Hot tub to soak in after a fun day of sport fishing sea of Cortez.
